The joyful community life that we celebrate at Squamish Waldorf School would not be possible without the dedicated work of our volunteers, whether it is organizing or participating in our fairs and festivals, working in our gardens, cleaning, assisting with work bees and repairs or a myriad of other tasks.

Children feel supported when parents are active in school life, and it develops their capacity as future citizens. Families with children in kindergarten and grades are asked to volunteer a minimum of 40 hours per year. Families with pre-schoolers only are asked to volunteer a minimum of 10 hours per year. Peruse this volunteer form to find areas where you want to make your commitment.

We also welcome volunteers from the community. If you are interested in volunteering at our school please contact pic@squamishwaldorf.com or visit the office to inquire where help is needed.

SWS is enrolled in the provincial online Criminal Record Review Program for volunteers. As such, it is a legal requirement to have a valid volunteer Criminal Record Check (CRC) on file for field trip carpool drivers; classroom assistants; office helpers; or anyone who volunteers on site whilst class is in session.

The review is done through the Ministry of Justice and is valid for 5 years. Applications are free, and can be submitted online:
