Class 5-6 have been practicing singing with Ms. Jewell three mornings a week. The songs are Yonder Come Day, a traditional Georgia sea island spiritual and rhythmic speech selection by Judith Cook Tucker. The second is a a Buddhist round called Canon For Four Voices.
“I love teaching this song for its imagery of the sun making bright each day and providing us with the hope of a new dawn, and all the possibilities that are ahead of us,” said Ms. Jewell. “The children really love it and it makes us want to move forward!”
